Day 388

Queen of Hearts...
Yep, I took these this morning before the bus came because I knew the panty hose would not survive the day. I may add more shots later, but this will be a crazy one (as if every other day was calm and serene). Today we have two Valentine parties, swim and choir all before 5:00pm...YIKES! So here is wishing all of you a fun, happy, but most of all, ROMANTIC Valentine's Day!

Day 377

A little of this and a little of that...
I had waited long enough to do the valentine cupcakes and cookies and seeing as how Valentine's day is tomorrow, I thought I had better get on it! I waited until L got home and she made the cupcakes with me in her fancy schmancy apron and chef's hat from Target of all places. We got the really cool heart shaped free-standing cupcake cups too. Daddy is much better at rolling out cookie dough than I am so we waited until he got home for those. Unfortunately, there was so much on both of our plates that we didn't get to them this evening.
The best part of baking, licking the beaters!!

Since testing positive for Scotopic sensitivity (also known as Irlen's), the school gave M some rose-colored overlays to help with her reading and today it totally paid off! More than half of the papers in her Wed. folder had grades of 100 OR MORE! Not only that, several of the high grades were in Social Studies (her least-favorite subject)! WAY TO GO, M!!! We knew you could do it!

Day 376

Out of the box...
I have been doing a little product photography for a welding supply company's catalog and today I tried my hand at photographing the actual welding process. This was complicated since I couldn't meter (would've burned my hand and prob destroyed the meter too) and I could look directly at the welding torch when it was on...hmmm, ticky. Anyway, as they say in technical circles, I winged it! I had my remote and set the camera to low continous shot and turned away while this very patient man started and stopped the welding torch!

Day 375

Monday...that pretty much sums it up. Work, work and just for fun, more work! I got some orders sent in to the lab, finished two of my engagement sessions, stripped the beds, picked M up from school sick (insert dubious expression here), picked up C from school, took L to swim, picked up dinner, bathed L and made her bed, took the recovered M to volleyball, made her bed, responded to e-mails, showered (finally) and made OUR bed. Tired yet? I am!! Is it any wonder that I didn't have time to take today's pic?

Day 374

This just in, in our quest to actually make it to church...WE DID IT!! AND...everyone was well and showered (this morning no less), L's hair was even flat-ironed straight. Amazed and astonished? We were too! Moving on...Look! A Sunday session! She's having a bouncing baby Longhorn! They were a terrific couple and so laid back!

Day 373

This was the first Saturday since...gee, AUGUST that I haven't had a session. Wow. We had the usual activities, volleyball game, birthday party, dinner with friends but lo and behold no pic! I have really started (ha!) slacking off, haven't I? My weekend is not free and clear however, I will have a session tomorrow late afternoon. Stay tuned.

Day 372

Tonight was L's first "real" gymnastics class and I was shooting these through glass and way up high so forgive their crappiness! She looooved it! She has now started counting the days until her next class! Oh, to be that limber again.
