Day 461

Dandelion...
C has been desperate to find a "wishing flower" and make a wish and since they are regarded as weeds, dandelions are hard to find. Well, today on the way home from school I spotted some and pulled into a parking lot to pick a few. They sat on my passenger seat in the car until we could get through with everything we needed to do. Unfortunately the winds have picked up considerably so the first few were duds because by the time he sat down to blow them, the breeze had made his wish for him. We found one not quite fully bloomed and he had to really give it his all!
Nope, not a big enough blow...
There we go!
Then he found this one that he wanted to sniff. Good thing it was no where near ready to release or he'd have inhaled them!

Day 460

Two by two...
Another beautiful evening. I knew it would be hard to follow last night's posts so this evening I went with some inanimate objects. The kids were playing outside with some of C's creatures and it looks like they were recreating Noah's ark so I grabbed a few shots.
Not sure exactly what this was supposed to be. Stonehenge mixed with a swamp? It's any one's guess.
Two if by sea...this was their "beach."
Looks just like an ordinary water bottle, doesn't it?
Don't be fooled. It's L's makeshift ant colony inhabited by the two ants they captured.
Ahh, so nice when the butterflies are as a big as lions and elephants. Only in a perfect world.
Didn't have an olive branch handy for the dove to bring back, will this do?

Day 459

Twirl with flare...
My little Boo just loves twirly, flippy skirts and she was desperate to show me how this one spins today when we were picking up M from volleyball. Well you know me and all I could think was "oooohhhh, six o'clock light, that skirt and that hair!" Voila! We had such fun. The weather has been so incredible, I will be sad to see it go. Don't you just love it when pictures come out exactly as you see them in your mind? Ahhh...love!
So she went a little Marilyn on this one with a teensy bit too much leg, but look at how her face is perfectly framed by flying hair!
I think I had told her to wait a minute while I repositioned myself. You can see she isn't thrilled about that.
More waiting but this time like a flamingo on one leg!
Joy, joy! More twirling. I have lots more, but these were a few of my faves!
Strike a pose!

Day 458

Backstroke...
One of L's favorite things to do is take her swim lessons with Coach Kathy. She had to miss last week because she was sick and next lesson will be her last. Making matters worse, Coach Kathy is the coach of a rival summer swim team..the horror! L will miss her lots, but is really looking forward to four practices a week with Coach Lindsey. Tonight they were working on the backstroke which is L's least favorite one. Please forgive how crappy these are, they were taken through a glass window!
Yep, her hand is in focus and not her face, but what can I do? She is just too darn fast for me!
Ha! See her foot...I thought it was funny. ;)

Day 457

Weather...
So perfect today. A nice breeze, clear blue sky and temperatures in the 70's. If I'm dreaming, don't wake me. It was so hard to make them come in and get ready for school tomorrow. Why can't summer's days be like this? Oh well, I guess it's better to ring every second out of it while it lasts, right?
M finally got to ride her dirtbike...yay!!

Who's afraid of full sun? Not I. I wish her face weren't contorted, but I love the glow in her hair.
Ok, my girlfriends out there, still think he's sexy? HAHAHAHA!! I do! ;)
So clear outside, the moon looked beautiful surrounded by blue sky.
Can you guess by the color whose baseball set this is? I really liked the way it was left sitting in the grass. I swear, I didn't move anything. This is exactly as I found it after the kids had abandoned it.
One last snap of C to make it an even two pics of each kid!

Day 456

Wedding...
Phew and a long one too. Dad told me last night that he would like me to be there when the girls got ready...at 10:30am...EEK! No problem, I'm flexible. So my day started at 10:30 instead of 2:30 which had me a little discombobulated, but when I got to the salon he had the best green tea complete with sliced lemons and limes and a fabulous spread of yummy sandwiches and fruit for all the girls (even me)! Thanks so much Ray! These are in honor of him and his lovely wife both of whom are the life of the party!

Day 455

Another Marathon...
I am tired just thinking about the next few days! No school for C today; it's his Spring Fling festival and when we were finished flinging we went to the park with some of C's favorite ladies from school. Next up was getting M ready for her weekend at the lake with a stop at Wal-mart for sun-block and t-shirts for tie-dying. Then I had to shower and get ready for a rehearsal this evening before L got home and needed to help me get her ready for her night out to High School Musical On-Ice...FOURTH row, no less! Once Daddy gets home, its in the car and off I go. While I am gone he will have my little man and one of his friends to keep him company. Tomorrow is a wedding and Sunday the extended family of one of my favorite clients after church. Whew, tired yet? I have posted a few pics and will probably post more later, but I've gotta get movin!
