Day 494

Busy, busy...
Two shoots and 95 degrees. Ouch! I was sitting here at my desk tranferring images from my card and realized that I still needed to take something for this blog. Well, here it is. The "running to the store list" which is not to be confused with the actual grocery list.

Day 492

Growing up...
They have built yet another elementary school in this neighborhood and this evening we went to a little celebration and meet the principal of L & C's new school along with some of the other staff that we already knew. They had inflatables,cotton candy, snow cones and popcorn; if only every day at school would be like this! I know L is disappointed to be changing schools, but I think she will find it very exciting once it begins and take comfort in all the familiar faces that will be with her. M & L decided to ride their bikes up to the clubhouse on their own. Just one more shining example of how they are getting older with each passing day. Please forgive these, they were taken out the car window while we followed behind them!

Day 491

Backstroke...
I said that today would be about M's swim since last week was all L. Well, my muffin shaved a whopping 20 seconds off her backstroke this week. She smoked her heat although the standings weren't posted when we left so I don't know where she landed overall. It's much harder on her this year because she is swimming 50's now. I was only able to be at the last half of the meet because I had a session this morning, but I am so glad I was there front and center to see her do this. Go M!!!

Day 490

Field Day Fun Take II...
This morning was C's field day at school and he had such a great time. I swear, this is the best class! The kids all get along so well and the moms are great. I will be so sad to see it go even though he is so excited to be riding the bus next year. Poor M's field day has been rescheduled three times due to weather. We are hoping it will go on this Monday. Sheesh, there's only two weeks left and they have already turned their books in and everything!
No, he didn't have to go potty, he had a water-soaked ball he was supposed to hold between his legs while running...ha-ha!
Since there was an uneven number of kids, his p.e. teacher recruited daddy to be C's partner in the water balloon toss.

Wheel barrow races are always a big hit.

Day 489

Goofy goggles...
I had a totally different shot in my mind's eye today, but when I looked in my rear view mirror on the way to swim lessons, I actually laughed out loud and cursed myself for not having my camera with me. Are these not the funniest things you have ever seen? Poor baby's head is so big that they are hard to get on and then they fold the tops of his ears down. What matters most is that he thinks they are the coolest! By the way, I did not tell him how to "pose". This, my friends, is all him!

Day 488B

Nighty night...
Doesn't she look sweet? She is just growing up too fast. She loves her new bedroom linens and every time I see her brown and pink polka dot sheets I can't help but think of one friend in particular. Hmmm...I wonder who that could be??? I will take another shot for today, but I couldn't help but snap this little moment last night.
