Day 240

So bummed out...

I had ordered a new wide angle lens for the wedding I have tomorrow and had it shipped UPS 2-day. Well, as luck would have it, the lens arrived while we were at the rehearsal and no one was there to sign for it. BUM-MER. Here is a pic from said rehearsal. The groom's family is such a great bunch of people, I just can't even tell you how I am looking forward to tomorrow.

Day 239

Muffins with Mom...

This morning was muffins with mom at C's school and after drinking four cups of pink lemonade, this was all he could manage to eat of the muffin.
For a blueberry muffin, it looked like this one was a few blueberries short.
Ain't he the sweetest? He was desperate to go and play with his friends and burn off all the sugar he had just taken in...his poor teacher!
To finish off the morning, the kids brought flowers to their moms. How cute!

Day 238

Full moon...

Time seems to keep getting away from me every night. Bbefore I knew it, it was 10pm and I still hadn't taken a pic for today. Since there was a full moon out, I grabbed the bazooka and shot this from my living room...ya, the lens is huge...ha-ha.

Day 237

Mantlepieces...

Nothing too exciting, just a couple things that sit on my mantle in the family room.

Day 236

Whip it...Shape it up...Get straight...

Ok, so after trying on my *fat jeans* and realising that they are now my *skinny jeans*, I decided it was time to get serious. Last weekend, T & I went out and bought this beast that is supposedly going to reduce the land mass of the continent that is my gluteus MAXimus. The thing is, I have to actually get on it for it to work so I am told.
Instead, I took pics of it.
So here I sit at 12:30, not having even gone near the thing or these dvds except to pose them for pics. Apparently, these dvds are supposed to magically turn me into the chick on the cover in only 20 miuntes...ya, right. Maybe later...I think i hear the Doritos whispering softly from the pantry...

Day 235

Taste the rainbow...

This is a little teaser for something we did today. Only a few of you know what it means (wink, wink to Nicci & Christy) but very soon it will be clear.
Stay tuned...

Day 234

Girl got game...

Today was M's second volleyball game and I was a little concerned she wouldn't do very well because she had to miss practice this week. BUT...not only did she do well..
she scored the last two points to win the only game they won. All the girls came and jumped on her and I so wish I had gotten a shot of it. She was beaming!

Goofs. M is THRILLED that one of her bffs ended up on the same team as her.

Day 233

Crashed...

My little man had been begging to play the Playstation all day and when we finally got it hooked up for him, he only got to play for about 30 minutes. He fell asleep mid-game poor sleepy little fella.

Day 232

Where I have been and where I will be...

I have been so crazy shooting and proofing that by the time it was almost midnight tonight, I hadn't even touched my camera. Well, it was sitting next to my keyboard on my desk so I grabbed it and snapped a couple.

Once the weddings start slamming, I will be spending even more time with these two.

Day 231

Scavenger hunt...

L's homework for today was a cute little neighborhood "scavenger hunt" and she had to count houses and compare colors and sizes of each one.
She was so precious! She actually enjoys homework and gets excited about doing it!

All finished! Now it was time to come inside and study for her first ever spelling test on Fri.

Day 230

Soccer and a Picnic...

Tuesdays are our crazy nights with L in gymnastics and C in soccer, we always call it, "fast food Tuesday." So while L & R were finishing up in gymnastics, me and the other two kiddos ran to Sonic to get food for our "picnic".
Just a couple quick shots as they set up the fields for practice as we ate our dinner.
C kicked this one into the goal while I was standing there so I took a quickie of that too. Look, you can even see me in the ball!

Day 229

Impromptu sleep-over...

Of course sleep overs on school nights are usually a no-no, but to every rule, there is an exception so R joined the chaos last night and braved sleeping over! The best part was getting up this morning and being able to wait for the bus with her bestest buddy. L was just as thrilled with the turn of events!

Day 228

First Game...

Ok so this entry is a total cheat; these pics were taken yesterday morning at C's first soccer game, but today was so unbelievably crazy that I wasn't able to take anything for my blog

So at 8:15am we were supposed to be on the soccer field playing and if we hadn't parked in the wrong place and gone to the wrong field, we would have been...whooops!
And of course, the precious Miss L, C's betrothed. We love her!
A quickie action shot of L & C on the field!

Day 227

Happy Birthday Boo...

Today was the start of a VERY busy weekend! Just today we had a soccer game, volleyball game, engagement shoot & then back to Granny & Chippy's for a mini-bday celebration for a special someone! L hit the jackpot with a Hannah Montana doll and closet and you can see she was over the moon about it.

Me & Daddy picked out this cute little outfit at Limited Too for her so she had to model it. L just loooooves clothes!
Then it was time for cake and Granny had found the perfect one!
Blowing out the candles which we had to do twice because uncle Alan had come home just seconds after she blew them out the first time. So we re-lit them and sang again, after all, you can't hear the birthday song too many times, right?

Day 226

Marketing Magic...

So being the youngest has it's perks, like being the one who usually gets to go to the grocery store with mommy. This means that you get to choose breakfast cereal and snacks and fun stuff like that.
Well, after being bombarded with commercials for these Cocoa Krispies Cereal Straws for a couple weeks now, C flipped when he saw them in the breakfast aisle so of course we had to give them a try! Yippee!

After he helped mommy at the U-Scan check out lane (which takes 10 times longer with my helper) and after unloading the car when we got home; he washed his hands (grocery stores are so yucky) and he dug in to an ice cold glass of milk with the yummy "straw". The funny thing, he finished the milk in record time and left the straw in the glass after two bites...DOH! Money well spent, right?

Thursday, September 13, 2007

Day 225

Teddy Bear Picnic...

Today was L's Teddy Bear Picnic at school and she brought her bear, Giggles, as her guest! She had a great gingham dress on which she thought was perfect for a picnic! And of course a temporary tattoo makes for an exquisite accessory to any ensemble!!
All packed up and ready for the bus! Have fun L & Giggles!

Day 224

Happy, happy, joy, joy...

Whoo hooo!!! Got my book in from Amazon today! I swear, these books are AWESOME! Never in my life have I read 13 books in about 6 month's time. This is a "between the numbers" book and I am about half way through the one that comes before it so I was purposely taking my sweet time with it. Janet Evanovich's writing is so sharp and humorous, her descriptions make you feel like you are seeing everything she sees...FAB-U-LOUS!

Day 223

Green...

This little guy was hanging out on the window this morning while we were waiting for L's bus. A little on the slimy side, but I like frogs.
Once he was finished sliming up the window, he jumped into the bushes and then disappeared. With all the rain we have been having, I am sure this won't be the last we see of him.
In other news, tonight was C's first soccer practice and he loved it! We need to run to Academy and get him some cleats and soccer socks with built-in shin guards because these ones were a pain to get on. He has also asked for some soccer t-shirts too and I am sure we will be able to find a couple!

Tagged

This has absolutely nothing to do with my Project 365, but I got *tagged* the other day by a friend, Shellie Benson (www.shelliebenson.blogspot.com) and I had to "reveal" 8 interesting things about myself. Ha! Easier said that done. To see my answers click here, www.krisevansphotography.blogspot.com. Part of the fun is getting to tag other people too! Here are the gals I tagged:

Nicci (www.moments-captured.com)
Nicole (www.nicolecottom.com)
Dana (www.danalinphotography.com)
Michelle (www.michellemisner.com)
Tamara (www.tamararoachphotography.com)

They are all very talented photographers and I hope you enjoy their work as much as I do!

Day 221

G.I. Whoa...

Seen this generation's version of G.I. Joe yet? Get a gander at this dude.
Anyone else have some serious doubts that the G.I. Joe of old (a brunette Barbie Ken doll with fatigues and a hand gun) got this new physique with good nutrition and exercise? Uhmmm, ya. Looks like Joe's been chemically enhanced.
And holy cow he is packing some serious heat these days. Good grief, is that a rocket launcher?
