Day 363

While yesterday's session was such a treat, this morning's was bittersweet and heartbreaking. I posted about it on my business blog as well, but since after taking these, it was hard to pick up my camera again today, I thought I would post them here too. This is Ella Faith and she passed away before being born at 18 weeks. She was diagnosed with Turner's at 12 weeks and while her doctor said that most mother's opt to terminate, Ella's mother could not end the life of her child and chose to put her faith in God instead. An incredibly brave mother and I am touched to have been there for here whhile she said goodbye to her daughter.

Day 362

I drove out to College Station today to shoot these two sweethearts who will be getting married in July. Aren't they just the sweetest? Soooooo....

Day 361

I have no idea where today went! I was working and doing the...wait for it.......LAUNDRY and taking the girls to the dentist and before I knew it...poof! today was gone! So I came up empty for my pic of the day, but never fear, this a busy, busy week so I know I will have some soon!

Day 360

I had a session this afternoon so I wasn't able to do my "T" pictures, but here is an outtake of sorts. This little guy had just said his cousin's name for the first time. So PRECIOUS!!

Day 359

And it continues. I thought we were out of the woods. I thought the only person left to cure was T and that we would actually be attending services tomorrow...wrong. I took the girls out this afternoon for a little retail therapy after being couped up all week and while I was gone, C's temperature hit a whopping 102.7!! As soon as the ibuprofen hits his system, he acts perfectly fine. I really hope we can wrap this up this weekend. I have postponed two baby shoots because I really don't want to pass this nasty little virus on.

Day 358

Well, L & C did make it to school today, but only C managed to stay the whole day (his day ends at 1:00 anyway). L got to sent to the nurse around lunch time and daddy went to pick her up. Now my dad is sick to, ahh the joys of children and grandchildren. Looks like M is finally on the mend and L just needs to kick the nasty hacking cough (hmmm...I wonder where she inherited that). The end is near, I can feel it. Holy smokes, we might actually be able to ATTEND church this week instead of listening to it via podcast!

Day 357

We are certainly making progess against the flu. L & C will absolutely be going back to school tomorrow, but M's fever is still hanging on. Now my poor hubby is in the trenches with a 101.4 fever. I think I may have dodged this bullit, no fever, no coughing.
R is for...
For some reason, my kids all absolutely love Ramen noodles. M especially which is ironic since it was what I craved the most when I was pregnant with her.

Day 356

Three kids were home today. It is official, at least two of them have the flu. Now T & I aren't feeling so hot ourselves...wonderful. We will just snuggle on the couch and watch a little Idol tonight (exactly the same as last night). Poor M, she is hardly ever sick and twice this year she has been out for days at a time. Today was class picture day for her too, being sick is no fun. I am hoping they can get back to school by Monday if not by Friday. No pic today, no one was up for it.

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

Day 355

My girls stayed home from school today, one with flu-like symptoms and the other just coughing almost uncontrollably...poor things. L even missed her field trip to the zoo. I tried to come up with a word for sick that started with q, but so far, no one is queasy.

Day 354

Day 353

OK, so apparently this is the every-other-day blog. I attempted to finish the laundry (there's that word again) and clean out some of the clothes that the kids have outgrown while they were gone (how, romantic right?). I filled TWO 55 gallon trash bags to go to The Salvation Army but have only scratched the surface. I need to try to tackle a closet each day...ugh! So again, no pic for today. P will have to wait until tomorrow.

Day 352

Dropped the kids off today but somehow the thought of doing laundry didn't excite..strange, huh? Anyway, I did get a chance to pick up the camera at least.

O is for...

I played a bit with my lens today while M was flying the helicopter and WOW, that lens is fast! Anyway, these were cool, but have nothing to with the letter "O".
Please ignore the laundry needed to go to the cleaners in the background. Gee, I think I haven mentioned my laundry oh about 100 times!

Day 351

Work, work, work. That's about it for today. Some days I just feel really over-whelmed and today was one of those days. My parents are taking the kids tomorrow and as romantic as this seems, maybe I can get some of this house cleaned. Half the clothes in the kids' closets don't fit and they have a ton of new stuff that there isn't room for. I HAVE to pay the Salvation Army a visit. So much to do, so little time...isn't that the slogan for all moms?

Day 350

I posted a while back about the dangers of fireworks and that there had been a house fire in our neighborhood caused by some. In this case, the family had swept up all of the debris and because it was windy, put the trash in the can in the garage where it smoldered for about two hours before igniting the garage and spreading to the gameroom. The fire burned so hot that the rest of the house sustained major heat damage and will have to be gutted and essentially rebuilt. One of their neighbors wanted to put a scrapbook together of the damage and renovations as a healing tool and asked for my help. Here are some of the shots I took today.

Day 349

S is for slacker! ha-ha. Just way too much to do today. Getting orders together, setting up the *stu* for more shoots this weekend, meeting at the school...and on...and on...and on. No "alphabet" post for today, but M's dirt bike came in...BROKEN so I had to take a couple shots to let the company in Cali know. I guess I'll post those!

Day 341

The kids were back in school today and I had a million errands to run and twice as many e-mails to respond to so no pic for today, but I will do "G" tomorrow.

Day 338

D is for...

You'll have to cut me some slack on this one, I was wracking my brain to come up with a D for this pic. I mean, c'mon, he looks like a chihuahua wet, how could I not post it?

Today is a crazy day filled with long-overdue errands, but I may post some more later.
