Day 367

How was dinner last night? Did we go to church today? Ahh, children. Together with our very good friends and neighbors, we went out to Chili's last night to relax and have a little dinner. After waiting about 25 minutes (it was supposed to be 45), we sat down to order with the kids at one end of the table and adults at the other. All of a sudden M starts going on about something shooting out of C's nose and all I can think is that he is being a boy again and grossing out his sisters with boogers or something equally revolting. Revolting, yes, but completely involuntary, he had thrown up all over the table and floor what looked like water. In fact, I thought he had spilled a glass of it until I realized they hadn't brought any yet. Lovely. We get it all cleaned up and think how strange since he had been perfectly fine all day but hadn't eat much which in and of itself is out of the ordinary but we decide to stay. He opts to not eat because now he is afraid and embarassed. Ten or so minutes later, he tells daddy he has to go potty and gets sick again. We ended up asking our incredibly understanding waitress to pack our food up to go and bring him home while our friends stayed behind to pay the check and wait for our dinner. For the rest of the evening and into the wee hours, he can't even keep water down. Today he is fine except for a low-grade fever, so how was dinner? See above. Did we finally make it to church? No. Thank heaven for podcasts.

In other news...I bit the bullet and did it. I can't believe it. It may seem small to some of you out there, but after weeks of hemming and hawing, I got rid of the formal dining room set and turned it into a sitting area for clients. I was so tired of taking down and setting up the *stu* all time and we never ever use the formal dining that T just said, "let's do it." So, I did it. And here is my new sitting/waiting/watching area.
