To be the next Michael Phelps or better yet Dara Tores. That's whats she wants and more importantly, she is ready and willing to work as hard as it takes for it. At our first official meet she took first in FOUR out of five events including a no-breather in her 25y freestyle! For last week's meet, she was well on her way to a repeat but it got called for thunder and lightening. I don't know where she gets all this determination (ok, well maybe I have an inkling) but she swims six days a week with a private lesson thrown in here or there when she feels like she is slipping (it gives her a nice confidence boost too). What I truly love about her drive is that while she wants to win, she is not a bad sport. Sure when she finishes behind someone else, she is disappointed but never ever hateful or ugly toward the other swimmer. As a rule, she is to congratulate them and genuinely be happy for them especially when it's a teammate. On her quest to swim like Michael Phelps (even though she hates the butterfly), she wanted to buy his book at the book fair last week and brace yourself, she even had me buy a Phelps poster to replace her Kevin Jonas one...now that's some kinda commitment y'all
