Three Piggy Opera & a Bee

C's class has been doing a lesson on bugs this week and as a project, he was to either create his own or make a model of an existing one making sure to label all the pertinent parts (ie. thorax, abdomen, antennae, legs, etc.). He chose to make a bumble bee and tonight he and daddy set about making it with some Crayola clay. Let me make clear that Daddy was only there as an advisor, not to do the project for him. Truthfully, it makes me crazy when parents take over their kids' projects; how can a teacher possibly evaluate the progress of a student when it's the parent doing all the work?
My what a big stinger you have...
Making lots of progress...
I think the antennae were C's favorite part.
Happy, happy kid...
A couple days later, we had a fully dry and labelled bee just in time to turn in...
On the day which also happened to be the Kindergarten program, The Three Piggy Opera which was the cutest version of The Three Little Pigs, kudos to the music teachers.
C was one of many wolves...
Throughout the program, he was always making sure we knew just where he was...
Boo's class got to see the program too and wouldn't you know, she spotted me and Daddy and gave a quick wave before heading back to class.
All those moms with little girl pigs better watch out when these wolves are on the prowl...
See ya later, mommy's little man...
On the way home, we stopped and T filled my car up...what a good guy!
